Game week 6 Review
A very solid game week, the transfer of Botman in for Chilwell was a genius decision – Chilwell was benched yet again and is now injured for a good amount of time. Botman saved the game week with a massive 12 pointer and the defence in general was set up perfectly with three returns!
Was a relief to finally get a deserved Bruno return and what a goal it was. Rashford again blanking, he needs to do something against Palace this week or it will leave me with no choice but to get Salah in.
Saka and Maddison both did there thing in the NLD with massive 13 and 9 point hauls which was lovely. 3 Blanks in 4 for Mbeumo – his time is nearly up.
Alvarez was a poor transfer in – I went with the crowd and the hype when I should have gone with the sensible pick of Morris.
Gameweek 7 Team Selection
My team is in a sorry state going into gameweek 7!
If Pickford can’t get a clean sheet at home to Luton, he will never get a clean sheet. I’m yet to get a return from either of my keepers so far this season so it would nice to get off the mark.
Botman is holding some kind of knee injury and missed out midweek. Fingers crossed he pulls through because that fixture at home to Burnley looks very nice. I’m taking a punt on Kabore for the double gameweek – he has played well the last couple of games, a sensible risk.
Cash vs Estupinan was a tough call, both Villa and Brighton have looked excellent in attack so far but poor in defence. Villa have kept two clean sheets this season over Brighton who are yet to keep one. For that reason, I’ve gone with Cash. I believe both players’ attacking threat is similar.
It’s looking very unlikely that Saka is featuring as he hasn’t trained all week. Maddison has been nursing the knee injury but I fancy him to play. Rashford and Bruno have potential to go big vs Palace. Anything from Mbeumo would be nice but lacking confidence on it.
Haaland and Alvaraz should both have fun against a weak Wolves team. Expect big returns from both!
Transfer Plans
I’ve got one free transfer this week and I have narrowed my transfer plans down to two options:
Saka > Son
With Saka very unlikely to feature this week it feels like the perfect time to get rid of him with a tough run of fixtures fast approaching for Arsenal. I have wanted Son ever since he started playing upfront and we will be coming in at some point in the near future. Liverpool still look suspect defensively so he could do well.
Mubama > Morris
Mubama, a woeful pick has now dropped down to 4.3 million and needs to go ASAP. A one-week captain punt on Morris is a lot of fun, Luton have two great fixtures and Morris was back among the goals last week, on pens. I’m very tempted.
This transfer would rule out a Rashford to Salah transfer before I wildcard so it’s a high-risk, high-reward transfer and the smart option is Saka to Son.
