Gaffr Gameweek 8 Review/ Gameweek 9 Transfer Plans

Again gameweek 8 was frustrating – I missed out on lots of points by picking the completely wrong defence! 58 points is an average return, but when looking at the bench, who all returned, it could have been so much better.

In classic fantasy fashion, the one week I transfered Jack Clarke in, Sunderland failed to score and the player I transferred out Vidigal returned from injury and scored. What is my luck (-_-).

Summerville is back on fraud watch, his attacking data is excellent week in week out with no end product. He’s in his last chance saloon this week.

My Ipswich bias got the better of me and I should have put Dieng and Key in instead of Hladky and Davis who were destined to concede against Blackburn. Was disappointed to only get an assist return from Chaplin who normally gets involved within the goals, especially considering Ipswich scored 4.

Team selection

I like the look of my team this week. I’m loving the look of the Ipswich fixture away at Huddersfield, cracking clean sheet potential and it is exactly the kind of game Chaplin thrives in.

Clarke away at a wounded Wednesday could be massive. Leeds attack in transition should destroy Southampton’s kamikaze style, so the double up could be very fruitful.

Not convinced on Mumba, Hull win definitely score so I’ll need an attacking return out of him. Potts looks great for clean sheet potential, West Brom have been poor recently.

Ever consistent Sara and Dewsbury-Hall will chip in with some points as well as Armstrong hopefully.

Transfer plans

I’ve decided to roll the transfer this week: the team looks nicely set up and there is no obvious transfer to make.
