Game week 6 review
Game week 6 went really well with a nice 70 point total. The Ipswich boys carried again with nice hauls from Chaplin and Hladky. The Davis captain went fine and he picked up eight points despite playing only a half! His injury looked concerning though.
Finally holding Joel Piroe paid off as he went off with two massive goals and a season high 15 pointer. The ever reliable and consistent Sara and Dewsbury-Hall both chipped in with decent points as well.
The differential transfer of Sinsterra to Summerville didn’t pay off and was a costly mistake. Summerville was poor against Millwall and I should have really gone for Clarke who did well against QPR.
Team selection
The team looks quite horrid this week. Need my Ipswich boys to step again away at Southampton and with the amount of goals Southampton are shipping, I’ve pinned captaincy on Chaplin this week!
Leicester vs Norwich and Hull vs Leeds are both tough fixtures, so I’m not expecting many points there.
Transfer plans
Manning > Potts
With the quick turn around from game week 6–7, it’s already time to start considering my one free transfer.
Although news of Davis’s injury is far from ideal, I have no plans of selling him until I find out how long he is out injured for.
I’ve seen enough of Manning and Southampton – he is simply not worth the hefty 7 million price tag. Despite offering some nice attacking threat with the obscene amount of goals, Southampton are conceding – it’s time to go.
Bar Davis and Mumba, there are very few good defensive options. Potts looks like the best bet right now; Preston top of the league have been solid defensively with some nice clean sheet potential. Potts plays right wing back, has put up decent attacking numbers so far.
